Description:
Modern Organization and Management Research Center, established in 2000, is a subsidiary of the School of Management and Economics. Professor Guangming Hou serves as the Director.

Ten years experience of hard work and focused research has witnessed the development of the Center. In 2003, the Center conceptualized a mission of "Balance of educating & research, Combination of technology & humanity, Synergy of learning & academy, Mutual-development of teachers & students", and decided its development goal "to train quality graduates, to pursue first class research, to build a research institute of coordinated development, distinct advantage and irreplaceable position”.

Over the last ten years, the research team led by Professor Guangming Hou carried out researches, with organizational theory and system science as the base, on practical problems faced by innovative country development and civil-military integration. The Center has undertaken a number of key basic science, soft science and national defense industry technology basic research projects sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education Doctoral Base Foundation, and the National Natural Science Foundation.

The Center has produced over 50 PhDs and nearly 150 postgraduates (including MBA, EMBA).
Since its inception, the Center has untaken over 30 key national longitudinal projects on basic science, soft science and national defense industry technology basic research sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education Doctoral Base Foundation, and the National Natural Science Foundation as well as horizontal university-industry cooperation projects. Over 40 doctoral students received PhD. degree and nearly 150 graduates (including MBA, EMBA) received master’s degree. The Center has received 5 Provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological achievements awards, and published over 20 monographs, books, and teaching materials.
