Promoting Construction through Evaluation: Effectively Building the Master of Accounting Professional Degree Program

To implement the spirit of the notifications issued by the Degree Committee of the State Council and the Ministry of Education on the "Degree Authorization Center Qualification Assessment Methods" and "About the Periodic Qualification Assessment Work of Degree Authorization Centers for 2020-2025," the School of Management and Economics, under the organization of the Graduate School, completed the peer review for the qualification assessment of the Master of Accounting professional degree authorization point on January 12.

During the meeting, the school reported on the basic situation of the authorization point, the conduct of self-assessment work, and plans for continuous improvement to the expert panel. The panel raised questions and suggestions regarding the training characteristics, curriculum construction, case teaching, and student size of the degree point, to which the school responded. After thorough discussion, the review experts concluded that the Master of Accounting degree point at Beijing Institute of Technology has clear training objectives, distinctive features, significant advantages, and notable educational effectiveness, meeting the requirements for all evaluation elements of the degree authorization point. The construction effectiveness of the degree point was fully affirmed, with suggestions for improvement in aspects such as discipline direction concentration, interdisciplinary integration, and enrollment size. The expert panel unanimously agreed that the Master of Accounting degree point at Beijing Institute of Technology passed the evaluation.

This self-assessment and review meeting is significant for enhancing the construction quality of our Master of Accounting degree authorization point, continuously improving the level of discipline construction, and training high-quality professional talents. After more than a decade of development, our Master of Accounting degree authorization point has made considerable progress. Moving forward, the school and college will further optimize the talent training objectives and system based on the opinions and suggestions of the expert panel, leveraging the school's traditional military industry advantages and focusing on emerging frontier directions, striving to contribute to the national strategy for the new era in the context of digital and technological development.
