1.Introduction of Center for Energy & Environmental Policy Research, Beijing Institute of Technology (CEEP-BIT)
Established in 2009 with the approval of Beijing Institute of Technology, CEEP-BIT is a research institution under the School of Management and Economics. In 2015, the team was accepted as a creative research group supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. So far, it has undertaken nearly 100 national scientific research tasks, including national key research and development projects, providing postgraduate students with opportunities to participate in scientific research tasks and international academic exchanges.
CEEP-BIT has a Beijing Key Laboratory of Energy Economics and Environmental Management. “Energy and Climate Economics” is its distinctive discipline, which is an emerging interdisciplinary discipline based on management science and engineering, applied economics, etc. It recruits bachelor candidates and PhD candidates.
At present, CEEP-BIT has 10 full-time professors, 6 associate professors, 3 distinguished professors and over 100 postgraduate students (including 46 doctoral candidates). Its academic influence at home and abroad is increasing. According to data from the economic literature database RePEc/IDEAS in November 2018, CEEP-BIT ranked 29th in the field of energy economics and 33rd in the field of environmental economics in the world.

3.Majors and research directions
CEEP-BIT establishes the following majors: management science and engineering, applied economics, business administration and energy and climate economics. It recruits about 10 doctoral students and about 30 postgraduate students every year. The main research directions of the students are: energy, climate and economic and social development; energy and climate policy modeling; energy market and carbon market; new energy and electric vehicle industry policy.

6.Postgraduate program characteristics
CEEP-BIT lays emphasis on the development of students in role switching, management practice, comprehensive ability, perseverance, academic integrity, etc.
(1)Scientific research oriented, CEEP-BIT holds academic seminars every week, creating a favorable research environment for students, so that teachers and students can actively carry out academic exchanges and enrich scientific research results.
CEEP-BIT Seminar
(2)CEEP-BIT is student-centered and aims to develops students' ability to think independently. Every year, it gives support to outstanding postgraduate students to exchange and study at prestigious universities around the world, and actively provides financial support for students to participate in international academic conferences abroad to widen their horizons and learn more about international research.
