Speaker Profile:

    Dr. Dai Hancheng has been engaged in multi-disciplinary research on climate policy and energy economics. He used five years to develop and build a general equilibrium model (CGE) model and database for China's national, 30 provincial and global policy analysis. Its model has been one of the important decision-making support tools for the formulation of climate policies of national and provincial-level agencies. So far, Dr. Dai has published 19 papers on important academic journals in environment and energy economics such as Energy economics. His research is extensive, from whether INDC can be achieved, carbon tax, renewable Energy cost analysis, to Energy consumption and health.

Content Introduction:

    This study quantifies the Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSPs) using AIM/CGE (Asia - Pacific Integrated Assessment/Computable General Equilibrium). SSP3 (regional rivalry) forms the main focus of the study, which is supposed to face high challenges both in mitigation and adaptation, to meet the objective, we investigated the primary energy supply, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, air pollutant emissions, land use, and climate information.
